The award for the most laid-back bride ever goes to Heather! Steve and Heather have the most fun, playful love for each other and photographing their wedding day was a breeze. This group of friends that made up the bridal party knew how to party! So many laughs, jokes, tears, and singing. Steve is in a local band and it wasn’t yet 9:30 PM when he broke out in a solo and stood up on the table. It was great!

September 8th, 2020There are wedding ceremonies that I’m happy the camera is in front of my face so people don’t see me cry my eyes out. This wedding in particular I was a little more than teary eyed, I was close to sobbing and to be honest so was everyone else! I think it’s the intimacy of a small backyard wedding. It’s the closest family and friends who know the story and the years together and who are the most happy for the couple. The tears started with the groom writing a little message on the bottom of the brides shoes and from there Dad down the aisle REALLY made me cry, the groom seeing his bride, Mom and Dad together crying, and to see so many happy happy tears made it hard for ME to see through my camera! I was the photographer at this little wedding (which was supposed to be big but was small… because…2020)… anyway I was the photographer but I FELT like a guest. Mom made all the food and desserts and aside from Rob Moody Jr. being the very best cook/chef I have known Mom was a close second. Everything but so delicious!! I guess Mom makes a family meal every week! They used their family china and did I mention how many family hugs I witnessed. I included maybe half of the hug pictures in this blog, but there were way more! Needless to say, I enjoyed this day, the weather was perfect, the light, the people, even the dogs even did their jobs perfectly! Thank you to the whole family!

Callie and Tim {Wedding Day!}
August 20th, 2020You would NEVER ever know just how H.O.T. it was on this day by looking at these pictures. I feel like spelling the word hot out might give more of an idea of just how scorching it was on this day… that and Death Valley also comes to mind! LOL! It’s amazing how everyone really kept it together even though it was hotter than hades out there. Anyway, this lady, Callie…I have taken her pictures for year now. I look forward to our sessions and catching up and hearing the latest. When I heard she was engaged I hoped I would get to be a part of this day. Callie and Tim – so deserving of this day and honestly so deserving of each other. And a seriously gorgeous couple, like freak of nature level! haha! It was my honor to photograph for you again, Callie (and now Tim)! Thank you!

One Year Photo Session of Adelaide
February 20th, 2020Adelaide turned one in January. Can we pause here and agree that the name Adelaide is so pretty? Ok. Now, onto this pretty girl. We kept it simple with a little dress from H&M and a romper from Cat & Jack for her donut finale. These donuts are from the best bakery in Sylvania-Brieschke’s. If you love a donut cake, you must order one from there for your next ____________.
We have been in downtown, Sylvania for 10 years. 10 years?? One decade? It is still as surreal as it was when we received the keys. We love the simplicity of shooting here, with minimal props so we can capture your sweet little one’s personality, all with good light, of course!
