This past Sunday I had the chance to revisit the Downing household for a quick portrait of Ian.   The family is so excited for him to be travelling down to Texas to be none other than an ESL teacher. When I found this out it stirred in me memories of my own experiences of being an ESL teacher and my advice was for him to start a blog for others to check out his progress. I feel like I should have more advice, but that might be the best I can offer. Seriously though Ian, I would read it!   You will have such a positive impact on the children that you come in contact with and the next chapter of your life is going to be extremely rewarding.

Jason and Lorin, I am SO very excited for your wedding coming up.  Thanks for stepping through pricker bushes for me.  What fun it was playing in the field, making up words and showing me your love.

My shoot was in Brooklyn, MI this past Saturday.  I was so excited when I drove up to the house and what is next door but a beautiful field!  Some may call it a field of weeds but I see so much more…. a perfect backdrop for beautiful little girls.   This family was just blessed with a new baby girl, Abbie.   Big sister Rennie, whom I have photographed since she was a newborn, is getting so big.   Her head full of blonde curls is so gorgeous especially blowing in the wind.  Thanks Mark & Pattie!  It was so great to see you again.

Amazing that Lib is one already.  Our little JEM kids grow up so quickly!  The first pic is definately my favorite from the shoot….green is your color little Lib!  Thank you Adele and Glenn.  Love seeing your girls grow.  I can’t ever resist a few photos of Libbie’s big sister!
