James and Ivi Vacationing in Tampa

May 13th, 2010

Before posting these photos, I debated putting all of them up since there wasn’t really a ‘formal’ photo shoot. But, I had so much fun photographing these two in everything from sundresses to monkey pajama’s that I wanted to share them with everyone. But, I had so much fun photographing these two in everything from sundresses to monkey pajama’s that I wanted to share them with everyone. We had an amazing time down in Florida, despite blown tires, car batteries dying, and rental vehicles being towed (I am laughing Sophia).  Sometimes all it takes is for me to picture James repeating ‘shuttle-bus’ over and over again to make me laugh.

-Chippy-

May 5th, 2010

You are probably wondering why the title of this blog is Chippy, right?  Well, Chippy is Katelyn’s nickname and I think it’s so fitting.  I actually only knew this little girl as Chippy and I had to finally ask her real name during the shoot.  There are two reasons for the nickname, her cheeks look like a chipmunk [...]

Kristie, what a pretty little baby you have.  Thank you!  Isn’t the field so perfect for her?

These  four cousins got together for a photo shoot this evening as a gift for Grandma. I love photos as a gift and if my mom is reading this you don’t have to guess at what you will be getting this Sunday (surprise, surprise)   I just loved all of these children! I am not sure [...]

I am not sure who got worn out more, myself or these little ones :)   I am headed out Wed morning for a wedding in sunny Florida so I wanted to just post a few before I head out…there were so many to choose from but I have to comment on Wrigley’s photograph because it looks like she caught a sunbeam.  Thank you Tara and Mimi for trecking through unexpected territories.

Until I met little Maliah this past weekend I had no idea the story behind her.  She was born at 28 weeks and weighed in at just a little over 2 pounds.  She was in the hospital for over 50 days and was a fighter since day one.  She is now 6 months and doing great.  The first collage of photos is Maliah playing with a diaper like the ones she used to wear when she was born…. its so small!!!   Thanks Pampers… you matched my backdrop perfectly!

Jen, what a great morning we spent together!   Thanks for sharing your story.  I am honored to have taken Maliah’s very first portraits.
