Meet Milo

Milo is my new buddy. He came to the studio a day before his 3rd birthday and so along with him came a wrapped gift that he was allowed to open ‘early’. What better present than a garbage truck?? I can’t think of one. He was very intent on playing with his new toy but soon we were able to carry on a conversation that revolved around potty humor. I told him he was funny and he nonchalantly agreed. Well you can see that we started with pictures of his present and we ended with it too and the final picture of him is one of my favorites. In between playing we enjoyed the blustering wind and leaves, and took a few pictures at his house where his grandma and grandpa came in from Kansas to celebrate. I have to give a big thank you to his cousin Hannah who helped out

Jeannette and Nick are expecting their first baby VERY soon. Any day now I think. We photographed a few days ago at Secor Park. JEM and Secor Park are really becoming close friends lately! What a beautiful park. Although, this particular evening all the mosquitoes in the entire city of Toledo had some sort of a party because we got bit up like no other… still the best park in town in JEM’s opinion. Anyway, a little baby boy should be arriving soon for this new family. I actually met Jeannette at a wedding the Saturday before our shoot so I was able to see how sweet and personable she is. What a beauty. Thank you to both of you for letting me photograph this beautiful time in your life.

What a beautiful wedding day Kristen and Matt had. When I say the families involved in this wedding were so loving…. I mean that! The love I felt on wedding day was awesome on both the bride and the groom’s side. For example, the bride’s aunt is actually from the state of Washington and she did all the flowers you see in this blog. She didn’t just do the flowers, she BROUGHT the flowers on the plane here to Ohio and assembled everything down to the centerpieces and flower letters on the doors. It was breathtaking and the love behind those flowers almost made them look different in a really awesome and beautiful way, if that makes any sense. Kristen and Matt it was such a pleasure to be a part of your wedding day. I hope this blog brings back all those sun shiny memories from your day filled with blue skies, love, family and laughter.

{Katelyn} Anthony Wayne High School Senior

Last week I met Katelyn for her senior pictures at one of the most gorgeous places in Northwest Ohio: Secor Park. In fact, great minds think alike since Jennifer was shooting a maternity there the same night. As we arrived the sunlight was so ablaze and gorgeous as it softly diffused through the last remaining clouds in the sky. You can see in the progression of photos how the light changed so drastically. Mmmmm…my favorite time to have a camera around my neck is at sundown. Ok, enough about that, let’s move on to this gorgeous senior girl. Katelyn is extremely intelligent . Intelligent as in she currently is taking college classes at the university. She is so down to earth at the same time and as you can see, breathtaking. Not only is she all of these things she is also my cousin I have had the privilege to watch her grow up and turn into this amazing young woman who really has the world at her fingertips. Katelyn, I really believe you are a world changer!

You might remember little Lyla from her newborn shoot a few months back. Well she’s back and cuter than ever for her 6 month pics! The first photo here is my favorite! What a little doll! If anyone was walking the trails at Secor Park this past Sunday and heard some loud and strange noises coming from the fields it was Greg (Lyla’s Dad) and I trying to get Lyla to laugh. She gave us so many of her sweet looks, which I absolutely love, but when those smiles and laughs came around…. so worth all of the effort we put in. What a lovely little one!

Thanks so much again Erin and Greg! Love photographing you guys. Hope the drive home was good.
