{Brittanie & Nick} Love and Laughter

When I first met Brittanie to talk about her wedding and an engagement session she threw in at the very tail end of our conversation that her fiance was a bit of a goofball. I remembered this from months ago and Nick did not disappoint me.  There is no other word to describe his sayings, gestures, stick up nostrils type of personality better than plain SILLY.  Brittanie can barely keep a serious face before Nick makes her burst out laughing.  And Brittanie-you are so naturally beautiful.  You remind me of an Aveeno advertisement.

I loved that we were able to go all over Pearson Park and hardly saw another soul. Though our sun was setting behind clouds, I love the two of you in the field at sundown.

-Keep laughing-

{Bella}

Bella is exactly that: Beautiful.  These pictures were taken a few weeks ago on a warm, fall day in Monroe.   Looking back on this photo shoot, it was as if Bella had an entourage. Bella is exactly that: Beautiful.  These pictures were taken a few weeks ago on a warm, fall day in Monroe.   Looking back on this photo shoot, it was as if Bella had an entourage. Her mom, her aunt, her 2 cousins and myself following her around, making an invisible perimeter, attempting  to keep her busy little legs  within some type of boundary as  passerby’s probably wondered if we were doing some type of catalog shoot.  No catalog shoot here just simply a JEM shoot.   Bella wasn’t too fond of the field we chose for her so we packed up and headed to downtown Monroe- which I love! There is a nice wide open spot that she was able to run and play and really entertain herself as I photographed her doing just this.  To me, she really looks like an angel walking into the ‘angel light’ that halo’s her sweet 2 year old self.   Tiffany and Sugeily- so glad we could make arrangements for me to photograph this precious little girl.

{Christy & Derrick}, Serendipitous? I Think So.

October 25th, 2010

Christy and Derrick knew very quickly that they were a match. They were in a wedding together, she was the bridesmaid and he was a groomsman- and the two hit it off immediately…he put a ring on her finger and the rest is history.  I met the two of them at Wildwood a few weeks […]

It was a perfect setting especially since he had proposed at this park just a few short months ago.  We walked around the park to different areas and we ended out by the yellow trail while the sun was glowing behind us.  Christy, I love your joyous laugh and I think the images  with your head back, letting out a gleeful giggle are some of my favorites.

{Greg} Anthony Wayne High School Senior

October 22nd, 2010

Greg seems to be the guy that might surprise you every once in a while because you really never expected him to do something so c-r-a-z-y. Such as allow his friends to dress him up like Edward Scissor Hands for school during spirit week. Not that this is crazy, but I wanted to get your […]

Greg seems to be the guy that might surprise you every once in a while because you really never expected him to do something so c-r-a-z-y. Such as allow his friends to dress him up like Edward Scissor Hands for school during spirit week. Not that this is crazy, but I wanted to get your attention. Taking a look at him, would you expect this?? Ha! He came home from school and his mom had been busy all day finalizing schedules to squeeze Greg in for senior portraits when she took one look at him as he walked in the door and with wide eyes she said, ” Is the black hair color permanent??!” Nope. Washable.

So Greg came to the studio a couple weeks ago on one of those outrageously gorgeous Fall days.  We walked down the street for a few ‘urban’ pictures and then headed to Wildwood where it just so happened that the sun light loved Greg (along with the camera) … Greg it’s all in the tilted  chin, right? Thanks for letting me take you throughout the park and photographing you! I loved how we went from business  to urban to nature. You can rock it all 🙂

{Rylee} Pink is Her Signature Color

October 20th, 2010

This little girl turned one recently and ever since her 10 month shoot, I had been looking forward to her one year session.  She will melt your heart. She has already melted JEM’s.  I laughed out loud when Ansley said that Pink was her ‘signature’ color, because it IS.  We played around in different areas […]

This little girl turned one recently and ever since her 10 month shoot, I had been looking forward to her one year session.  She will melt your heart. She has already melted JEM’s.  I laughed out loud when Ansley said that Pink was her ‘signature’ color, because it IS.  We played around in different areas of the park and I was delighted that Rylee loved her fall flowers so much that she wanted to eat them 🙂  I also love  to see Rylee’s personality come forth and noticed how she hugs onto her mama’s leg more and more and goes back to her leg for comfort throughout the time we were together…During her birthday cake pictures she chose the pink polka dots to only eat! Hilarious. I guess pink really is her signature color.

And so, Ansley and Dean,  I loved taking Rylee’s pictures out on this beautiful fall day…so much so that time seemed to get away from me 🙂
