Logan had me hooked as soon as he scooted in the door with his fishing pole. This little man who  was new to being a big brother had no problems following directions. Maybe because he liked everything from our clunky wagon and old ladder to fishing for bass. He caught about 10 fish while in the studio. Little Cooper ‘sort of’ fell asleep and he was out long enough to capture some sweet sleeping pictures. It was nice to start with Cooper, who was only a few days old, while dad took Logan to get his haircut at Main Street Hair Designs right up the street. It worked out great since many times newborns tend to take a little longer to photograph and Logan was at his best for his debut. The family picture at the very end is my absolute favorite.

What I loved the most from this wedding was the California sun kissing my images all over the place.  Most of the time, as a photographer, you are to shy away from sun glare.  I, on the only hand, look for sun glare and love using the light and sun rays to almost edit my images right in the camera.  You will see lots of sun glare kissing in these images.  I also love that the groom is my cousin and I was honored to photograph this amazing and beautiful wedding.  Bre (or Sweet Breeze as she is sometimes called) was absolutely stunning.  I could reference so many songs in her honor.  She was so beautiful and as pretty as song lyrics (if that makes any sense at all).

Bre and Matt – I love you both and I could not be happier for you.

I have to give a HUGE thank you to Elaine for being my second shooter, go-to girl and cheerleader.  She is one of our best and long-time blog stalkers and always has an encouraging comment for us.  For that, we love you so much.  Thank you E!!!

So, it’s been a REALLY long winter and everyone in Northwest Ohio understands what we are about to say.  We make every excuse when there is a peep of sun to go out and actually get some vitamin D.  We admit it, we fake meetings!!  With that said, we needed a fake meeting spot.  Insert – new teal table!  If you have visited or driven by you might have noticed our new cool “meeting” table.  We have gotten much accomplished at this table.  Usually, come around a quarter to 4, another pot of coffee is brewed and an awareness is made that it’s time for a “meeting.”  A meeting that includes fake notebooks, fake writing utensils and fake subject matters because we are ACTUALLY soaking up the sun and taking just a few minutes out of our very long days for ourselves.  If you happen to see us in deep thought partnered with blank notebook pages, now you know our secret!

Meet our little JEM that was in recently! I have said it before and it is still so true…she could have come walking out of a nursery rhyme.  What is it that Rylee loves so much at the age of 18 months?? Blankets. Lots and lots of blankets. This little girl was incredibly happy rolling around, laughing, tossing her feet up and doing it all over and over again in a mound of blankets. If I wanted to try just one blanket for her to play with, it wasn’t good enough. I had a pile of three blankets and we set one down for her and then she went back and grabbed the other two. It was all three in the pictures or else no pictures.  This little girl with her soft looks and bottom lip that sticks out when she is interested in something is the world to her mom and dad. What a treasure Rylee is…

You can imagine why I titled Eveyln’s post ‘On the Go’ She is one year old and constantly on the move…interested in something for about 10 seconds and then on to the next, better thing. How dainty these first few pictures of her are and those big blue eyes definitelyhave a twinkle.  We tried for quite a while to see that she might step into JEM’s  pocket of window light and play but she was more interested in everything but playing in the  small square footage I had in mind. It was such a gorgeous day when we took these pictures , that when our FedEx came, Evelyn was able to take in the wind and and excitement that big trucks brings.  All during our shoot, her big sister Sophia was so incredibly patient and moved from chair to chair being ‘Princess Sophia’ and talking about birthdays. She stepped in one picture with Evelyn to help her out…what a good sister.  And as you know, we always love to do a birthday cake pictures for children turning one. I LOVE this cake from our friend Julie at Syd’s Bakery in Mayberry Square  She makes these smash cakes so good that I seriously have to resist getting two.  Steff, it was great to talk while getting Eveyln’s pictures done!
