I’m excited to post this engagement session from last week.  Tyler and Lisa have this soft, amazing chemistry that I was able to capture in the back of Erie Apple Orchard on a Spring evening where the light danced in and out between fluffy clouds.  We kept saying how we felt like our session was like a dream and Lisa even said she felt like this had happened before in  her ‘dreamland.’ I’m a crazy dreamer, so I had to add that Lisa 🙂  Now, let’s just say that Tyler looks at Lisa with the most endearing looks and those of you who know  Lisa, can hear her soft voice in some of these pictures. It’s been brought to our attention that when we edit pictures, that we mimic the looks going on in the picture we are editing. How true this is! Ha! I’m glad that I don’t have facetime recording any of this.

Lisa and Tyler-you guys are awesome together. Enough said.

Personal JEM post time!!!  I think I might have mentioned my secret country side one time or another.  Most do not know of this secret as I’m kinda girly in nature.  I love jean jackets, work boots, dust, farms, scruffy beards, camping, the great outdoors AND adorable horseys.   My Aunt and Uncle have a […]

Personal JEM post time!!!  I think I might have mentioned my secret country side one time or another.  Most do not know of this secret as I’m kinda girly in nature.  I love jean jackets, work boots, dust, farms, scruffy beards, camping, the great outdoors AND adorable horseys.   My Aunt and Uncle have a horse who had a little (okay, maybe a big) baby last week.  I headed over to the “farm” to meet this little guy.  He was only 4 days old in these pictures.   This is for all you horse/animal lovers out there and for you Aunt Margie!!

Thank you to my beautiful cousin, Elaine who took the two images of me!

{Laila} You so Sweet

April 19th, 2012

I’ve been photographing Laila since she was a newborn and I have gotten to know this little lady and her sweet disposition. Laila, you will grow into a strong, determined young girl one day. You say, ‘no thanks’ to flower wreathe headbands, but you say ‘Yes’ to sticks and dirt. This pretty flower headband by Jen […]

This pretty flower headband by Jen at Beautiful Blooms by Jen lasted long enough for the two pictures below.   You are a true two year old, discovering your environment by interacting alongside it.  You also wear me out 🙂  I needed to take a nap after taking your pictures. We actually ‘pretended’ to nap to coerce Laila to come and get her picture taken, as if that would work? It was a little reverse psychology that left us all ‘sleeping’  and Laila saying, ‘ha, ha, adults, I know this trick.’  But, for one tiny moment, Laila came and laid down next to her mommy 🙂 Here are a few pictures from this day and if you don’t know this precious girl, hopefully you can get a glimpse from these few pictures.

{Sloane} Birthday Girl!

April 18th, 2012

You gotta love you some Sloane! She makes anyone’s day happier…probably because she is so happy herself.  Many of you know the story of Sarah and Tim and if not you can find it under,  Sloane’s newborn pictures.  So, they were in town for her first birthday and  I was able to meet up at  […]

You gotta love you some Sloane! She makes anyone’s day happier…probably because she is so happy herself.  Many of you know the story of Sarah and Tim and if not you can find it under,  Sloane’s newborn pictures.  So, they were in town for her first birthday and  I was able to meet up at  Botanical Gardens on a beautiful Spring evening to capture Sloane being herself. We had an entourage of Aunties there with us and if you saw us you would have thought it was pretty ridiculous.  Aunt Erica and Melissa carried around outfits, a stroller and balloons that announced we were going  ‘overboard’.  But, it’s fun to go overboard.  At the end we finally got around to giving Sloane her balloon. It lasted 5.2 nanoseconds and before I could say anything it floated away. I love you Sloaney!
