In one month from now, Corey and Amber will be married. We met at Botanical Gardens on such a hot day that I was so glad we photographed in the evening verses the afternoon. I loved hearing the story of how the two of you met and started dating, I think it kind of shows that when, ‘you know, you know.’ You two are so cute together and I’m glad we could take our time and walk around. I’m looking forward to seeing you both at the end of the month!

                                                             I love this picture of you Amber…smiling with your eyes.

{Let’s Have Fun} Sisters

May 31st, 2012

Fall in love with these three girls. I did. We got to spend a good portion of an evening together doing nothing in particular except being silly. We looked for ladybugs in a made-up language that only ladybugs can hear. duh. We played ring-around-the-rosie, raced, jumped, laughed, and snapped a ton of pictures in between.  When […]

When these girls got to change into their ladybug outfits you would have thought fireworks were going off. They were that excited. I remember ripping the tags off of my neon bike shorts and my awesome umbra windbreaker and experiencing the same thing 🙂 Soooo…fresh outfits and more play.  These three girls get along so well together and many of you might recognize the youngest, Makayla.  What an incredibly strong and courageous girl she is. She is on a journey right now battling A.L.L Leukemia. If you aren’t familiar with Makayla’s story then I encourage you to take a few minutes and click here and visit this page that was set up by a friend of the family.  I had a blast photographing all three of these precious girls, and here are just a few of my favorites.

{Lola} Pretty Baby

May 29th, 2012

Lola spent her morning at the studio and with the help from daddy being silly, we got a few soft smiles from this blue-eyed three month old. That is honestly an exhausting thing for dad to do! Ha!  She did so good on her back and belly, and we shuffled through a few outfit changes […]

Ha!  She did so good on her back and belly, and we shuffled through a few outfit changes in no time. I love how happy she is in the last picture posted. Elaine and Steve-thank you for making smiles happen!

{Welcome Bradley}

May 23rd, 2012

Tiny Bradley was so good for us when he came in at 7 days old. We had it nice and toasty in here for him to be peaceful and sweepy.  He gave a few yawns, and some silent zzzzzz’s for us along with a couple smiles too. I like photographing newborns in a cozy setting, and […]

A blanket croched by grandma of course.  I was excited to photograph Bradley since that meant I got to see his momma and daddy too . Beth and Carl, I’m glad life is treating you well and I’m looking forward to watching your family grow.  You two are naturals at this parenting thing 🙂

{Mercedes and Thomas} Engagements in His Hometown

May 21st, 2012

How was I lucky enough to photograph these two in Chicago? Well, even though they will be getting married in Toledo this November, they wanted to have their engagements taken where they met, and also where Thomas is from. I can’t say enough positive things about this couple. I have known Mercedes since we shared […]

How was I lucky enough to photograph these two in Chicago? Well, even though they will be getting married in Toledo this November, they wanted to have their engagements taken where they met, and also where Thomas is from. I can’t say enough positive things about this couple. I have known Mercedes since we shared 7th grade Science together, but it was the first time I had met Thomas, and once we finished up the rainy afternoon in Chicago, it was easy to see how well they compliment eachother.  Thomas pulled off the GQ look so well, but could make Mercedes laugh so easily anytime he needed to…and Mercedes, you are not only smart, you are gorgeous. I loved spending time with you both and talking between shooting.  I’m already looking forward to November!
