December 30th in the year 2011, Jill and Chris were wed in holy matrimony at the beautiful and historical, Nazareth Hall.  The snowy day we were supposed to have turned into 45 degrees of rain.  Thanks Ohio for ruining all of my snowy bride/groom poses I had in mind!!  It’s a great and wonderful thing though that Chris and Jill are so stinkin in love that regardless of our surroundings and backdrop true emotion and feeling shines through my lens.  I absolutely love it.  My most favorite image from this wedding was a quick snapshot I got just before we headed into the reception.  Chris was standing in the doorway holding Jill’s flowers and he was gazing at her.  There was so much he was saying in his gaze.  Those are the best kind.  You can see Jill’s reflection in the glass and she isn’t looking but his eyes never left her.  I love the way a man looks at a woman he loves.  Even better, I love capturing that in an image for ‘her’.

Jill and Chris, you are two of the kindest people I have ever met.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day.  Enjoy your peek!

{Annah & Dave} Brrrrr…. Beautiful Winter Engagements

These were taken before Christmas when we had that one snowy Saturday…I would like for it to snow again just so I can wear my new fur boots. I dont’ really have fur boots, but I want to buy a really obnoxious kind that keep my feet warm, and the first snow of 2012 would send me out to get a pair.  I also want a pair of these grey boots that Annah is wearing. Annah, actually, could you be my personal shopper?? Thank You!  I’m not kidding, I am going to go buy a blue, flannel shirt and this same scarf because I love it.  Anyways…on to some of my favorite pictures! I couldn’t help but post a few of these because their chemistry is melting like butter. Love them, and love you guys and I need nothing else to say :)

{Susan and Brett} A Fall Wedding

January 6th, 2012

I have been longing for January to come and not because of the snow and bleak days, but because I feel as if I can breathe and start to have a normal life again. I can wake up in the morning and maybe even do a load of laundry, enjoy an  extra cup of coffee and give attention to my cat.  Ahhh…January.  But, before I take in all of January, I still have quite a few more blogs to post and without any further waiting: Susan and Brett’s wedding post.

First of all, JEM is obsessed with shoes lately and these shoes are HOT! I LOVE THEM! sparkles that just added a little umph. Susan, seriously though, Girrrrllllllllll….you were so incredibly STUNNING. The thing I love about Brett is that he is always smiling, AND that he was emotional seeing Susan for the first time.   Though the day was a ‘little’ chilly, it didn’t matter. We had scoped out the downtown library the day before to utilize it’s spacious and modern surroundings. The top floor is something special too, since it was a favorite of Susan’s grandfather.  Everyone, as always, was welcoming and it makes me feel so comfortable when photographing something so personal as your wedding day. This was absolutely one of the most gorgeous weddings we photographed this year.  Susan and Brett, we wish you years and years of happiness! -Em and Jen

{Erin & Tony} Just Lovely…

December 23rd, 2011

Well, it’s only fitting to start this blog with a ‘Merry Christmas’, even though your slideshow represents a gorgeous day in October. Well, it’s only fitting to start this blog with a ‘Merry Christmas’, even though your slideshow represents a gorgeous day in October. Erin and Tony, I was able to get to know you both in the past few months and especially on your wedding day. You two are beautiful people. I know this not only because of who you are, but who you surround yourselves with. Everyone at your wedding, whether in the bridal party or not, were all wonderful to me. As always, I love the speeches at the reception and even though it had everyone laughing, one of your maid of honors stated that Tony has, and only will have, eyes for you. He has adored you since the moment he ‘ran into you’ in college and I found out that he was incredibly persistent :)

This was the windiest day of the entire year and we LOVED it….when a bride wears her hair down and it’s combined with the whipping wind, it may sound crazy, but it’s really a recipe for gorgeous pictures. What a relaxed and completely enjoyable wedding day. Erin, I know I have said this a million times, but ‘wow’ you are stunning! Just lovely. I wish you the best in the new year!! Here is (finally) your sneak peek.

A week leading up to this Saturday, the weather was sunny, warm and predictable. Ahhhh…the Friday before, it poured and Saturday well, it wasn’t looking too promising(torrential downpour was happening at 10 AM) BUT then out of nowhere the skies cleared and the sun came out for the ceremony. It was awesome! I was ecstatic, since I get overly excited over things like sunshine!  Ok, so many things made this day memorable but a few of my favorites was seeing Layla running around, waiting for her mom to marry Justin…and the look on Justin’s face, seeing Angela walking down the aisle and Angela trying to keep her tears from falling while saying ‘I do’. I love you both so very much and I know there will be many years of a beautiful life together waiting for you.
