OK all you JEM blog fans who have been deprived of posts, our number one stalker (you know who you are), Megan Swartz/Heidi Steinker and all you other followers who say our blogs brighten your day… it’s time for the ultimate and monumental, longest JEM blog ever!!!!  Yes, I know you are trying to control your excitement!

Before our fresh season begins, I can’t leave ALL of the shoots behind from my rewind 2010 blogs.  My intentions were to post individual blogs for each and every one of these shoots as there is a story and a smile and probably a laugh or two from all.   As a wise person once told me, intentions are just that, intentions.   So without further ado, this is one of the best feelings I have had in a long time, to be able to post highlights from so many awesome JEM shoots.

Two weeks ago I drove up to meet Deb and John in Ann Arbor for this winter engagment session. What a wonderful feeling to step outside with my camera around my neck and be able to document these two together.  First of all, it’s been sooooooo lonnnnnnnggggggg since I have blogged and so as a welcome back to cyberspace I have put together a slideshow at the end of this blog (that’s why there are only a few images featured) I have so much to say about these two and as I have been going through their pictures on my computer I keep saying aloud that I just love this couple! Deb, first of all, is so into photography that her excitement makes my excitement mulitply to the 10th degree which in turn rubs off on John and even passerbys. Well, maybe.

But, come on! Seriously. Can’t you see their connection spilling out of these? They met at the University of Michigan and basically after their first ‘date’ they spent as many days and nights together as they could. Inseperable.  John proposed over the Thanksgiving Holiday on a bridge at one of their favorite parks, which we revisited after we visited the courtyard of the Law School building on campus. Just gorgeous.  It was awesome to spend my Friday afternoon with the two of you and getting to know who you are and sharing a hot cup of coffee afterwards to warm up.  You two are truly perfect together.

{Ashly & Brian} Love in December

January 18th, 2011

You might remember these two beautiful people from an earlier blog post in the gorgeous fields of Hidden Lake Gardens. It was part-two of Ashly and Brian’s engagement photo shoot on this blustery winter day in December. I couldn’t help but put a slideshow together of these snowy pictures and use a song that I [...]

It was part-two of Ashly and Brian’s engagement photo shoot on this blustery winter day in December. I couldn’t help but put a slideshow together of these snowy pictures and use a song that I think fits so well. I mean these two just make you want to say…AAWWWWW… don’t they??

Can’t wait for the wedding you guys!

A couple weeks ago I was able to meet up with Gina and Rich at Maumee Bay State Park. We had rescheduled this session due to NW Ohio’s unpredictable weather and we were not going to let a few sprinkles get in the way of our session this time.  Before they drove up to meet me, I was scoping out the area and the orange leaves holding onto the  tree branches were asking to be in the pictures so I was so happy to see their first outfit matched these leaves perfectly. I also can’t believe I am typing this but I loved the overcast sky in the yellow field. It makes me want to shnuggle up to my honey to keep me warm.   That’s basically all Rich and Gina had to do for me to get a great picture of them both.  They each have a complimenting personality and Rich it’s so great to see you showing some love for the camera :)   Gina, you my dear are soooooo pretty with your dark eyes and hair…you will make a beautiful bride in Jamaica!! I want to see some pictures!

When I first met Brittanie to talk about her wedding and an engagement session she threw in at the very tail end of our conversation that her fiance was a bit of a goofball. I remembered this from months ago and Nick did not disappoint me.  There is no other word to describe his sayings, gestures, stick up nostrils type of personality better than plain SILLY.  Brittanie can barely keep a serious face before Nick makes her burst out laughing.  And Brittanie-you are so naturally beautiful.  You remind me of an Aveeno advertisement.

I loved that we were able to go all over Pearson Park and hardly saw another soul. Though our sun was setting behind clouds, I love the two of you in the field at sundown.

-Keep laughing-
