I met Ashly and Brian the other day at Hidden Lake Gardens up in Tipton, Michigan for their engagement portraits.  I was blown away by the chemistry these two had!   All I had to do was use our new JEM word “shnuzzle” and they were on it!  Just giggling and being so much in love together.   There’s nothing better than rolling around in a field on a beautiful fall day!  Right?  Right.  Thanks to Ashly and Brian for rolling around in the field for me for these beautiful pics! :)

Ashly and Brian -  I loved documenting your love!  You two are so adorable together.  Hold on tight to what you have because not a lot of people are blessed enough with such amazing chemistry.  Thanks for everything, the laughs, the outfits and awesome schnuzzling for my camera!  Oh and Ashly, you are so very beautiful!  I hope you know that!  I could literally photograph you for days!

We met Ali, Nick, and little Aiden well over a year ago at the old studio to talk about their wedding that is going to take place next summer.  They drove over an hour last week to come up and see the new studio, walk around downtown Sylvania for some pictures and then head out to Secor Metropark for more pictures.  Nick isn’t one for public affection but he was able to show a little love and shnuggle with his lady in a field and he’s pretty good at making Ali laugh.  It was a gorgeous day to hang out and we had the park all to ourselves.  As always my favorite photos are those that are unplanned and unexpected…while we were getting pictures of just the two of them, Aiden was playing with his car but  meandered over and plopped himself down on his mom’s lap saying, when can we go exploring? I love how tender both Ali and Nick look toward Aiden in this photo.

So Ali-you waited a LONG time for these :) Enjoy!

What a great shoot the other day with Abi and Codey.  We met at Abi’s parents’ house out in Rossford and what a beautiful property it was!  We had so many different backdrops.   It was so funny because Abi came to the door to let me in and I barely recognized her.  She has worn her hair up in every one of our meetings so I had no idea she had such beautiful long hair.  It’s such a rarity these days in my opinion.  We walked around the property, dodged the rain a few times and got some great love shots.  I have to say a special thank you to Abi’s Dad because he helped through the entire shoot with various things.  He also picked the rose you see in Abi’s hair further down in the blog.  So fitting as Abi’s middle name is Rose.  Thanks to all of you.  Looking forward to wedding day!

A little over a year ago, friends of Greg and Stephanie thought these two should meet.  Like, on a date meet.  So it was set: Greg planned a date night consisting of a beautiful evening on his boat, cruising the Lake Erie waters.  Shortly after he knew he was falling in love with this girl and Steph was feeling the same.  Earlier this summer they went out on the boat again, this time to go fishing.  Stephanie was happily fishing while Greg insisted that she needed a different fishing pole.  She is oblivious to the fact that he had a ring for her for the last two months and it is currently dangling from the other fishing pole in the bottom of the boat. Well, it all worked out, maybe not how easily as Greg had planned but that doesn’t matter. We all know what really matters.

These two have a special chemistry that is so alive and real.  Going to  many weddings it never get’s old to hear the ever so beautiful passage on love.  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  It is one thing to hear these words and it is another thing to live these words.  Steph and Greg you both are wonderful people and I am truly happy that you found each other to share life’s moments with.

What better place to take engagement photos than a backdrop of boats?

Stephanie, I knew when I took this picture that it would be my favorite.  I thought you belonged in California. You are so beautiful.
