{Playing in Nana’s Backyard}

Nana’s backyard is so peaceful and quiet and lovely. It’s plopped along a country road and if you didn’t know where you were, you would think you were in the U.P. The only hard part about shooting here was that Logan, who just turned four, wanted to go fishing the whole time. What do you mean, you don’t want to hang out on this really cool ladder in the middle of the grass?? You would rather choose fishing over haning out with your brother in a wagon?? What? This was a gorgeous evening to hang out and take pictures. Cooper kept us busy and on our toes. He is fast! I wanted to post just a few of my favorites. Thank you Crystal and Kris!

{Camryn and Mylee} Sisters

The Joyner family has grown by another beautiful little girl. Big sister Mylee loves her new little sis and looooovvveed getting her picture taken. What a beautiful family and I’m so blessed to have been able to photograph their wedding and now watch the little family grow.

Congrats on everything lately, Susie and Jeremy. So happy for you guys! I love when you guys visit me!

{Hello Henry}

Henry looked out the window and decided he wanted to head outdoors for his photo shoot. We are lucky to have Sylvania’s Histroical Village across from our studio! We headed over there for some play and pictures, and it was a Saturday morning well spent. It’s so nice to have a relaxed shoot, with Henry giving us some smiles and laughs in between him grabbing his bunny ‘rabby’ and walking away from the camera. I also love listening to Julie sing to Henry throughout the session. I could listen to your lullaby’s and ‘made-up’ songs all day. No joke.

This last picture cracks me up. Mom? Dad? Who is this lady?

{Dean…} Birthday Boy

I am so excited to showcase some of my favorite pictures from a recent session with Dean and his parents. I have watched him grow this past year and it’s amazing how blessed I am to be able to do what I do. I will never stop saying this. I wake up every morning and look forward to my day. Jen and I say that we love Mondays. *Cheesy* But it’s true. We get to preserve something that others cherish. We try our best to tell a story, and every day we grow and learn and in between it all we love all of our clients,whom we consider our friends. Gina and Rich-you two are such wonderful parents, and thank you for being yourself in front of me…loving on Dean and singing to him, all the while allowing me to swing a head-full of frizzy hair around in order to get a silly face (for just a few). Enjoy these few and more to be coming your way.

{Cayden and Colin} Brudders

My dear sweet cousin is now a mother of two boys. What a cute little family. So much fun catching up and playing for the camera. Big brother Cayden has so much personality. I would tell him that I was going to get him a toy for his pictures. He would look at me and say, “I’m so excited!” When I would bring the “toy”, which was a wagon or ladder, you could just see the disappointment on Cayden’s face. I think my version of a toy and Cayden’s version is very different!
