{Cooper & Logan} Handsome Little Men

April 28th, 2011

Logan had me hooked as soon as he scooted in the door with his fishing pole. This little man who  was new to being a big brother had no problems following directions. Maybe because he liked everything from our clunky wagon and old ladder to fishing for bass. He caught about 10 fish while in [...]

Logan had me hooked as soon as he scooted in the door with his fishing pole. This little man who  was new to being a big brother had no problems following directions. Maybe because he liked everything from our clunky wagon and old ladder to fishing for bass. He caught about 10 fish while in the studio. Little Cooper ‘sort of’ fell asleep and he was out long enough to capture some sweet sleeping pictures. It was nice to start with Cooper, who was only a few days old, while dad took Logan to get his haircut at Main Street Hair Designs right up the street. It worked out great since many times newborns tend to take a little longer to photograph and Logan was at his best for his debut. The family picture at the very end is my absolute favorite.

OK all you JEM blog fans who have been deprived of posts, our number one stalker (you know who you are), Megan Swartz/Heidi Steinker and all you other followers who say our blogs brighten your day… it’s time for the ultimate and monumental, longest JEM blog ever!!!!  Yes, I know you are trying to control your excitement!

Before our fresh season begins, I can’t leave ALL of the shoots behind from my rewind 2010 blogs.  My intentions were to post individual blogs for each and every one of these shoots as there is a story and a smile and probably a laugh or two from all.   As a wise person once told me, intentions are just that, intentions.   So without further ado, this is one of the best feelings I have had in a long time, to be able to post highlights from so many awesome JEM shoots.

I met Deecember and Chris a few years back and they are the type of couple that make you feel comfortable as soon as you meet them. We have been seriously planning a winter photo session with their dog, Slate for going on two years now! Snow pictures are always unpredictable and we knew that [...]

I met Deecember and Chris a few years back and they are the type of couple that make you feel comfortable as soon as you meet them. We have been seriously planning a winter photo session with their dog, Slate for going on two years now! Snow pictures are always unpredictable and we knew that there would be snow everywhere from the Blizzard we had a few Tuesdays ago, but nobody predicted the storm we got the following Saturday. The snow gracefully collected on the tree branches and since we were  the few brave ones out that day, it was so wonderfuly quiet.  I love how dreamy some of these pictures turned out and so I couldn’t help but post a few of my favorites on the blog.

Hello JEM blog world!  We are so sorry to all of our dedicated blog stalkers that our blogs have been so far and few between.  It’s been a very busy few months here at JEM.  We thank everyone for such a great holiday and wedding season.  We are REALLY behind on blogs so we are just going to pick up where we left off.  I wanted to start with a shoot I did back in October.  Yes, you read that right, October!  It was the most perfect fall afternoon with some of my favorite JEM girls. For those of you that know me, I’m a sucker for a cute jean jacket and these girls immediately won me over with their oh-so-cute jean jackets.  Why do I love jean jackets you ask?  Not sure.  Probably because it reminds me of everything awesome about the 80′s, Bryan Adams playing on my tape player and country fields…anyway, these girls sported the jean jackets just perfect for these pics.  Love it!

I also need to give a big shout out to Lynn from Pollynn Flowers.  She made the ADoRabLE flower crowns the girls are wearing at the end of this blog.  If you are in need of flowers for a party, wedding or someone special, Pollynn is the place to go.  Lynn is amazingly talented and creative in all things flowers!  Thanks Lynn and Pollynn for supplying the super cute crowns! {www.pollynn.com}

Ben makes me {Happy}

November 29th, 2010

Meet this lovable little boy…or remeet him since he was on our blog over the summer (Ben’s curly smile). Ben has that baby soft skin and hair that makes me want to pet his head every time he comes near me.  I have a tendency to pet baby’s heads and find their hair irresistible, of [...]

Meet this lovable little boy…or remeet him since he was on our blog over the summer (Ben’s curly smile). Ben has that baby soft skin and hair that makes me want to pet his head every time he comes near me.  I have a tendency to pet baby’s heads and find their hair irresistible, of course Ben is no exception.  We met on one of the last warm days of Fall, I am afraid to say I don’t think we will be getting anymore abnormally warm days. We met right around 4:00 when the sun is doing it’s magical work and casting out the golden hues in these photos below.  Ben played with whatever was in front of him, whether it was a ladder or a twig-it didn’t matter to him.  Eric met up with Heather and Ben towards the middle of our shoot and it was perfect for me to grab a few family pictures. I can’t say it enough: I love capturing the love of family.
