This beautiful cousin of mine Lizzie, has so much going for her. She will be graduating from high school ‘down’ in Virginia this June. Then she has the world on a string She has so much spunk and energy and sweetness to her that wherever she goes she will succeed. I love her to pieces and after many talks of coming to Ohio to see Rob and I, it finally happened!! We had 3 days to hang out and on Easter, we went to Botanical Gardens to snap a few pictures. I can’t get over how much you look like Taylor Swift, or should I say, Taylor looks like you? Elizabeth, you are a stunning young woman and girrrllll…you worked that camera. Love from Ohio, Em.

{Megan} Lake High School Senior

I met Megan last year in the Fall for part of her senior pictures at the old DANA building, which is now Health Care REIT. It is a gorgeous building with an equally gorgeous landscape. We took pictures here on a beautiful day and the first few I have posted our from that session. Megan is involved in a lot of sports, but at the same time, she has a certain softness about her that I enjoyed photographing. I am pretty sure that if we were to play each other in softball she would kick my butt, especially since her position is 3rd base and mine, well..it’s right field So, for our second session, we met at the Lake High School softball field. We played around here for a while and also stepped over to the train tracks and also a set of old semi trucks that were calling us for a picture. Megan, you and your dimple rocked this session. I wish you a prosperous season and a memorable summer as you head to Bowling Green. p.s. I couldn’t for the life of me post the Yankee Picture

Longest JEM Blog EVER!

OK all you JEM blog fans who have been deprived of posts, our number one stalker (you know who you are), Megan Swartz/Heidi Steinker and all you other followers who say our blogs brighten your day… it’s time for the ultimate and monumental, longest JEM blog ever!!!! Yes, I know you are trying to control your excitement!

Before our fresh season begins, I can’t leave ALL of the shoots behind from my rewind 2010 blogs. My intentions were to post individual blogs for each and every one of these shoots as there is a story and a smile and probably a laugh or two from all. As a wise person once told me, intentions are just that, intentions. So without further ado, this is one of the best feelings I have had in a long time, to be able to post highlights from so many awesome JEM shoots.

Rewind 2010 {Elena} Beautiful Senior Portrait

This is yet another awesome shoot I had this past fall. I’m so excited to post just some of the amazing portraits of the beautiful Elena, pronounced (El-eh-nah). Wow, wow, wow! This girl blew me away with her beauty. I had never met Elena before our shoot in Monroe. She had so many amazing secret places in Monroe for our portraits with outfits to match. While the actual photo shoot of Elena was amazing, I think the ordering of Elena’s portraits was equally as fun. Imagine, 7pm in the evening before Christmas at JEM. For those of you who have been in our studio office or as we call it, our “broom closet” , you will know that not many people fit comfortably in here when ordering. When Elena arrived she also brought her brother, sister, Grandma and Dad. We all squeezed in the “broom closet”, ate cake balls, talked music and took on the task of picking out what would be printed from all these beautiful portraits that Elena produces. It was quite comical but so fun at the same time.

Haha! Thanks family for a great evening together. I told you the cake balls were to die for!!

Elena – You are truly beautiful on the inside and out. Thank you for allowing me to photograph you and being so open to all my ideas. Good luck this year and your plans for next school year.

{Tessa} Whitmer High School Senior

So for Tessa’s senior shoot we went to one of the best places in Toledo, well actually we caravanned within a mile radius all over downtown Toledo. Tessa has the edgy urban with a mix of -o so pretty- tied in. I first met her a few years ago and when I did, I remember thinking this girl is gorgeous. I was so happy that she contacted me for her senior pictures. I am loving all the color she chose for her outfits and I think the yellow coat, if ever you got sick of it could find a nice home in my closet. Tessa- though it might have been a little wee bit cold when we took these pictures, you never once complained…I am so happy how the ‘dream’ turned out and my wish for you is that you dream BIG and you dream OFTEN. Then, chase it.
