As you scroll through these photos you will notice Hannah smiling in the majority of them. Hannah-you are so easy to photograph as you are always smiling. I loved how Ryan told me that he never knew how to smile for pictures until he met Hannah. Hannah, I think I was showing my pearly whites while taking your picture. You just got that way about you. Everything about this days was wonderful; you had family, friends, love and laughter. What more do you need? I could go on about the chemistry the two of you have but I think the photographs speak better than my words.
I had such a great time on this day in June and though it’s been a few weeks since this wedding I hope you can go through these and smile all over again.

These two tied the knot a couple weeks ago at Wildwood in the heat of the day. Jaime was my most RELAXED bride I have ever photographed-wow, it was so awesome . Let’ s just say 20 minutes before the ceremony it poured rain for a good 10 minutes and Jaime didn’t freak out. In fact, it didn’t even seem that she noticed. It wouldn’t have mattered anyways because the sun came out and dried it all up before the ceremony. That will definitely be something years from now when they look back and say, remember when? And smile. And laugh. And remember the love they still have because that’s what matters in the end. Not if it rained or if it shined bright skies. It’s all about the love that they share and will continue to share. You two are a beautiful couple (my country couple) and I wish you many, many blessings on your journey together.

After each wedding we photograph JEM talks about what part made us cry. For Jen it’s usually the first dance that gets her and for me it is almost always the toast (tears flow freely between us and there is no shame). For Sugeily and Paul it was a beautiful thing to witness the love between the two of them. It was one of those weddings where the people, close friends and family, were so happy for them that I could have stuck out my hand and touched happiness. That sounds so cheesy, I know! But, Sugeily is my dear friend and she doesn’t mind that I describe her wedding in an overly wordy way. Here you go Mr. and Mrs. Murphy- your sneak peek

Without further ado, I am so excited to post Lorin and Jason’s wedding portraits from their big day a few weeks ago. If you follow the blog you will recognize them from their beautiful engagement shoot. Now you have to know, as a photographer, I have a running list for certain things on a wedding day such as the happiest bride ever (Krista Woodbury, no one has beat you yet:o) and now I have a new item on my list…. happiest groom ever! Jason was such a happy groom and it was SO MUCH FUN to watch him all day. You will see by the pictures that he had the biggest open mouth smile the entire day. It was the best. There was so much love between this couple and it really made for such a magical day. Not sure I ever laughed so much at a wedding too! I want to say a special thanks to “Alan”, Paul Simon and the rest of the crazy bridal party bunch. You guys were so fun! Thanks for making me laugh all day! Lorin and Jason, you are so beautiful together, thank you for all you have done for me and I wish you the very best love and music can bring.

At the reception for Phil and Kate, Kate’s dad gave a speech and in that speech he told the story of how the two met. Phillip and his family lived in Hong Kong for most of the 90’s and every summer they would come back and visit and stay at their Thea Tina’s house. Across the street lived the Barth’s and little 9 year old Katie fell for Phillip and made the announcement that she would marry this boy one day. Well, that day came the 8th of May in Tampa, Florida where they live. The day was gorgeous as they celebrated along with their close family and friends. As always, it was a pure joy for me to be able to photograph your day. Love to you both!

Just a few short months ago Erin and Kevin trecked through a feet of snow to get some beautiful engagement shots, so what a gorgeous contrast to photograph them among pink apple blossoms and yellow flowers. These two said their vows on April 17th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Temperence MI. Afterwards we went to Erie Orchards and had a great time. I loved going through these photos and smiled as I thought back to that day and how everything worked out perfectly (even down to Erin’s eyeshadow complimenting the apple buds).
Erin and Kevin- I can’ t wait for you to see the rest (alligator dance included) . Here is your sneak peek of your gorgeous Spring wedding…

This 4 o’clock wedding was so beautiful. Brandy and Jerry were married in DinWiddie, Virginia in a small country church where it was packed with their family and close friends. The reception was at the Black Swan in downtown Petersburg and was absolutely breathtaking! Jerry’s brother sang to them both during the ceremony and at the reception and did such an amazing ‘Bless the Broken Road’ by Rascal Flats. Words can’t express what genuine families you both have. I thoroughly loved photographing your day and I was so ecstatic to have such amazing sunlight dipping into the trees behind the church. Brandy- you were a stunning bride and Jerry-you really know how to break a leg. Blessings to you both in your future together as a new family.

I was so happy to be Dana and Joshs’ wedding photographer! I have known both Dana and Josh for a few years now and seeing her being walked down the aisle was a great memory. I loved the look on Josh’s face when he saw his bride for the first time. The Congregational Church in downtown Toledo is so beautiful and was a perfect place for pictures outside. This was very hard for me to go through and decide on which ones to post. To Dana and Josh- I love you guys and can’t wait to celebrate much more of life together.

Josie and Josh had a beautiful wedding located at the Sylvania Country Club. It was actually a “warm” day so we we were able to take some pictures outside which isn’t something that happens all the time for winter weddings. What a beautiful day filled with lots of love. Josie and Josh, I loved being your photographer and I wish you much more love in the future!
